Gasworks Gallery Lay Out

As part of its organisational development work Gasworks Gallery invited public works to research and assess its local role and potential.

The project started by opening up an informal meeting and studio space right on the public threshold of Gasworks Gallery: the front door. For a period of two months this became the public space for the project. The façade was used as a changing billboard to advertise activities, the latest ideas and questions.

Through a mix of observation and live discussion, we proposed solutions to connect and extend Gasworks. We created a catalogue of proposals outlining strategies for the development of the organization in the short, medium and long-term. The proposals address ways of increasing cooperation with other local organisations, as well as drafting solutions for the architectural redevelopment of the building.
